Granted, there are other companies that will design your web site exactly how you like it. However, the fact remains that most of them will not treat it like their own. We work with the mindset that your online presence is ours as well.

For me personally, it is about growth. Not growth in the sense of height, but more in the sense of knowledge. I constantly strive to learn new things and at least get an idea of what they are about. You can't get a good view of the world without at least understanding what goes on in it.

Likwid Reality Designs takes its own look at growth. I am not as interested in our ascension to the top of web design stardom as I am in watching our core group grow into a well rounded, educated and happy set of people that are set on making everyone we work with ecstatic about their business. Being content with your job and doing it well is contagious!

As we take the time to grow our abilities, we find that the capabilities within ourselves have expanded beyond anything we aimed for. We all secretly have hopes and dreams that we keep locked up in the walls of our mind but it takes a special kind of person to lay those dreams out on the table for everyone to see. In our case, our dreams are all over the Internet. Proudly displayed for everyone to see. We all hope that our dream to make a web design company that actually cares about its customers' futures aides you in realizing your dream to see your company grow as it rightfully should.

You've worked hard to get where you are today. Why not keep pushing the envelope even further? Your imagination is our playground.

The Winds of Motion

From the desk of Joe Nardella - Lead graphic designer and owner of Likwid Reality Designs:

The Likwid Reality team has been absent from our company blog for quite some time now. In our absence, we have been fine tuning our service listings, acquiring new clients for the 2009 design year and rounding out the final areas of our team to allow our creativity to soar with no restrictions.

During the early part of 2008, we spent a pretty decent amount of capital in order to get our hardware and software back on track. With all the advancements in computers and design software, staying on the leading edge is a job in itself. Needless to say, we have stabilized our back end infrastructure and are ready to take on a new year of challenges, excitement and advancement.

In the wake of our internal advancement, the winds of motion have begun in many other facets of our company. Marketing has become a top priority as well as garnering a sense of pride in the work we are able to accomplish. A profitable business is nothing without a portfolio to back its claims. Each site that we complete allows us to delve deeper into the world of web design and we have learned more over the past year than we ever expected to. Field experience trumps book knowledge by miles and miles. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not being truthful with you.

We are also in the process of redesigning our main web site. I have to admit, I am so excited about the changes that are on the horizon for us. Everyone here at LRD is starting to really see the fruits of their labor and it shows in the input they have been providing to fully realize the overhaul. One of the greatest things about our type of business is the freedom to "go with the flow". As design standards change, we can seamlessly get on board with those changes with no adverse results to our overall structure. This freedom also translates effortlessly to projects with our customers. Give us an idea, we give you the finished product. No questions asked, just results.

Everyone has the hope that their business will flourish and grow. It's why we do what we do. The simple act of helping a small business fully realize their potential gives us a feeling that cannot be described in words. We couldn't be happier with the progress we have made in such a small amount of time. Likwid Reality started off as a tiny dream between two dedicated people. What resulted was an idea with unlimited potential, unlimited growth and unlimited creativity. I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish so far. I am proud of Mark for his continued dedication to everything that we do. I am proud of the whole LRD team for making us more than a great idea on paper. I am proud of the customers that trusted us with accelerating their future. This pride shows in everything we do... for you, our life line: Our customers who we view as our friends.

The winds of motion continue forward with Likwid Reality in their wake. We will be here when you are ready to make the step towards progress. 2009 is a big year for us all, we can't wait to show you why.

-Your imagination is our playground-

Our Resolution

Happy New Year!

We know there aren't too many of you who subscribe to this blog, but we hope to make more people aware of us and what we do. Please feel free to spread the word! We always appreciate any type of promotion. :-)

Our web site is now complete (besides a few minor updates). We welcome you to a new era of web design... a little something we like to call the "Likwid Standard". As an online company, we know how impersonal things can get on the Internet and it is normal to be cautious when deciding on different service providers, especially when it concerns the life of your business. We are here to not only provide a total solution for your business, but to introduce a more active and personal level of service and support.

We believe that a face-to-face consultation is the first and most important step to your online success. This first step allows us to talk about your business and figure out exactly what you will need. We only work on one project at a time for maximum efficiency and retention... so we can focus on your individual project with all the time and effort it deserves.

Our resolution to our new and existing clients is to continue providing quality design services and improve upon everything we have learned in the past. A new year will bring in new designs, which means that a few new businesses will be joining the online world with us.

If you or anyone you know needs a consultation, please drop us a line!

Partnership of the Minds

We have all had moments in our lives when we draw a picture in our head for an idea and it seems so clear. We work to implement that idea into a project and then come to a horrible truth... actually getting that idea off the ground is another story all together.

[Deep inside Likwid Reality Headquarters]

Mark is scratching his head and looks like he is staring directly into the sun. It's very late and he is struggling to get his layout to look the way he wants it to. The first phase of web design is always the most difficult. Without a solid framework to use as a shell, a house would merely be a lovely furniture set with no walls. It is under these circumstances that HTML expert, Mark, shows his amazing colors.

The amount of time and detail that go into his layouts is staggering. Even when they are done, Mark can be seen off in the corner making adjustments to achieve both XHTML compliance as well as zen-like perfection. A web page is only finished after we are able to drag Mark away from the computer kicking and screaming...

[Pan camera to Joe's Workstation]

After creating and trashing his 400th picture for a web site banner today, he reaches over and takes another sip of his soda. "Back to the drawing board" has been used as an expression for many years, but it really hits home now. At this late at night, all the colors on his pallet seem to blend into one and the pictures being created start to resemble blurry pieces of abstract art.

What keeps him going? The anticipation of creating an image that is able to represent the page itself. It may seem archaic, but in its essence, a picture is nothing more than a freeze framed shot of a sentence. What do you want to get across without using words at all? Before humans were able to develop languages, they used pictures to tell a story. Joe is no different. His pictures come with captions formed in the imaginations of the viewers.

[Fade to Black]

Likwid Reality will be arriving on the scene very soon and we hope to bring back the passion and flair that web design has been missing for far too long.

The First Drop

May 2007: At our core, we can be viewed as just an ordinary company with an ordinary goal. Great web site design with no room for lack of creativity and quality.

While this foundation is correct, it does not exemplify what we are actually here to accomplish. In recent years, the floodgates of web design have been opened and, although there are many good design companies out there, the riverbed is still filled with lackluster imaginations and underachieved sites that could have been so much more.

The truth is simple. If you need a web site designed to fit your business needs, you need us. Your web site becomes our web site and we will not close a project until YOU say so.

Our motto is stated in a very metaphorical way, "Fluid Imagination Workshop". Let's break this down into pieces:

Fluid: What kind of design company follows strict guidelines and does not leave room for the freedom of movement and exploration? A boat does not resist the rising and falling of the waves, it merely adjusts its course to reach its final destination.

Imagination: This is the one area that so many people overlook. We are taught as we get older to limit ourselves in what we perceive as possible and rational. Likwid Reality frowns upon this outlook and fully embraces that you are a creative person. "Your imagination is our playground."

Workshop: To think that there are companies out there that will actually tell you how to make YOUR web site look completely bewilders us. We are a workshop. We work for you, not against you. It is your presence that becomes our priority and we will work however you'd like us to. We have the same goal in mind; success.

It all starts here. We look forward to becoming the stepping stone for your future. You may only be able to see as far as the horizon, but we are here to help you see the rest of the world.
